I am a few miles from Tallin, Estonia in the Baltic Sea.

It is 5:15 AM and I have been awake for about two hours. The sun rose at 4:10. My brain is not functioning and I really need food.

-All is well.

So that's it.

What the end of school taught me:

-I am the worst cigar smoker on the face of the earth
-Mr. Neff likes to end the school year on a bad note
-When you've been looking forward to one day for a long time, it's bound to be a dissapointment
-Aaron Dorman is amazing
-I will not miss that school

That all being said, I still have a philosophy paper to write that is due on Friday by 11AM, and I'm at the library updating LJ instead of doing it.

Sad indeed.

Today we had a bomb threat. Not too exciting, plus we had one freshman year. But the real story was what happened afterwards.

I had to go to the bathroom the whole hour we were locked in the auditorium, so when we finally got out I ran to the nearest one (it was out of order) and then the next nearest.

I managed to overhear this conversation while relieving myself.

Punk Freshman/Sophomore: Yeah my girlfriend called in that threat to get out of restricted study hall.
Friend: Wow, she must be a real idiot.
Punk Freshman/Sophomore: Yeah......she's got great tits though.

Later on I recounted the story to Mrs. Turner because I figured maybe it's semi-useful information and at worst a funny story.

Mrs. Turner: So we're looking for a....well-endowed girl who belonged in restricted.

My god, this past week has been incredible. The beautiful weather seems to have infused everyone with energy and positive vibes, myself included. Every day after school I went to frisbee and everyone was in such a good mood and it felt nice to just move after a winter (or lifetime?) of hibernation. Even the soarness that I ended the day with felt good.

There's only one way to describe yesterday: ridiculous.
First off, Jacob and I were standing outside of I Love Books at the Four Corners to meet up with some people and this little skateboarding kid (actually not that little, freshman maybe?) skates up to us.

Kid: Are you guys hippies?
Us: Um, yes?
Kid: Wow, I've never seen real hippies before. Do you guys smoke blunts?
Us: Yes, actually we're smoking them right now. Don't tell anyone.

It was probably the greatest conversation of my life.

Then, last night, we were over at Noah's and Joel was a "little" tipsy (they were hosting a little get-together) and kept asking us to play songs for him. He rocked out doing lead vocals for "Baba O'Riley" and also got us to do "Maxwell's Silver Hammer." Drunk Joel is amazing.

Today: lots of work on my philosophy paper which is due monday and is currently but a few scribbled notes on a piece of loose-leaf. Then, tonight, Jacob's party. Blue will be served. The end.

So I decided to document a day in my life. Needless to say there were no survivors.

Some pictures have captions. If you can think of better ones, comment them.

So this is the swelling I've been living with the past few days.

Wisdom Teeth Recovery Post

Posted on 2006.02.24 at 09:32
So, due to some secondhand advice from jaffijofer, as soon as I came out of the wisdom teeth surgery (still apparently giggling and smiling a lot from the gas), I asked for a pen and paper and wrote down the following:

Barely writeable
Jawless motion, non-existent
say i care
(my head keeps falling)
I look in a mirror
look normal
bit of blood on my teeth
instruments(?) oddly in tune
I look at myself: look formal
Feel my jaw is gone
Wheelchaired out
bit my cheek

So, not the incredibly enlightening material I was hoping to submit to the Thinking Reed, but the thing is, I don't really remember writing it at all now.

Other quotes from me:

Doctor: Usually we send patients home with gauze in their mouths, but he keeps chewing on his!

Me: Wow, I can't believe this stuff actually does make you laugh.

(after tray of sharp, metallic tools is brought in)
Me: Ahhh I'd hoped i'd be out of it by now.

So the first part of vacation was pretty fun. Went bowling TWICE. Lots of hanging out with everybody and now I'm gonna go see if these drugs help my piano playing at all.
